Rec Field Hockey for U10 & U12 Athletes in Richmond, VA
overview
Campfire is Relentless Field Hockey Club's recreational league for junior athletes — a real season of field hockey without the commitment of a travel program. Athletes practice once a week, compete in four 3v3 tournament weekends across the season, and do it all alongside a consistent group of teammates in a fun, low-pressure environment. No tryout. No prior experience required. Just show up and play.
What Makes Campfire Different
The centerpiece of every Campfire competition weekend is our 3v3 format — small-sided games that keep every athlete moving, touching the ball, and engaged from start to finish. There's no standing on the wing waiting for the ball to come to you. In 3v3, every player is constantly involved, which means more touches, more decisions, and more development in every game. It's field hockey distilled to its most fun and most instructive form.
That high-touch format is intentional. We believe the fastest way to fall in love with a sport is to actually play it — not watch it from the sideline. Campfire is designed to maximize the amount of time young athletes spend with the ball on their stick and a decision to make.
