Welcome to RFHC Spark, our youth development program for players under 11! This initiative is designed to introduce athletes to field hockey at an early age and ignite a lifelong passion for the sport. Spark offers a fun and supportive environment where children can learn the fundamentals of the game, develop their skills, and build confidence on the field.

Whether your child is new to field hockey or an aspiring player looking to improve their skills, the Spark Program is the perfect place to start their journey in this exciting sport!

who is spark for?

Spark is ideal for girls and boys ages 6-11 who want to learn the game in an energetic and encouraging environment. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to learn and have fun!

This spring, Spark athletes will develop essential skills, build confidence, and learn the basics of teamwork and game play over eight progressive sessions.

Each session focuses on a key aspect of the game, ensuring players improve steadily while having a great time on the field. Whether they are brand new to the sport or looking to refine their foundational skills, Spark is the perfect place for young athletes to ignite a love for field hockey!

Seasons

spring

This spring, Spark athletes will develop essential skills, build confidence, and learn the basics of teamwork and game play over eight progressive sessions.

Day of the week: 6 Sunday's & 2 Saturday's

Time: 9am-10am (except April 19: 12pm-1pm)

Location: Trinity Episcopal School

summer

Summer consists of camps, clinics, and tournaments! Spark athletes can sharpen their skills and game IQ at individual lessons or clinics throughout the summer. In July, they can put their skills to the test in the Summer Bash at the Beach tournament! More details to come.

fall

This fall, Spark athletes can participate in weekly training. This is a perfect opportunity to develop your skills and get introduced to small-sided game play.

winter

During the winter, Spark athletes will participate in indoor field hockey. The indoor season runs from mid-November to late February. More details to come!
