Our Story

About

who we are

Annie and Cam met playing club field hockey in 2011. In the years that followed, they played club and high school field hockey together before heading to William & Mary and Georgetown respectively for their college careers in 2016.

When they both moved back to RVA after college, it wasn't long before they started thinking about how they could create more opportunities for the growing field hockey community in Richmond, Virginia. This was first realized through Relentless Field Hockey Training, a private training organization that offered individual lessons, small group sessions, camps, and clinics, and is now manifest in Relentless Field Hockey Club.

As Relentless has grown and evolved, Annie and Cam have been joined by some of Richmond’s finest athletes, coaches, and staff - without whom none of this would be possible.

Their shared competitive spirit, love for the game, and most importantly, their friendship, were forged between the lines of a field hockey field. They hope that RFHC can give the same to the next generation of athletes.

We are endlessly grateful for everyone who has supported Relentless along the way and cannot wait to see where this club goes next!

the begining

In March 2021, Annie and Cam launched Relentless Field Hockey Training (RFHT), a private training organization dedicated to the growth and development of field hockey players in the Richmond area.

Adult League

In June 2021, RFHT hosts the first night of the RFHT Adult Pickup League. This league has evolved and grown over the years, but remains a favorite summer tradition for current and former college players in the region.

RFHT -> RFHC

In September 2023, Relentless Field Hockey Training formally reorganized as Relentless Field Hockey Club. We secured club membership with USA Field Hockey and announced our first club team tryout dates.

First RFHC NITQ

In January 2024, RFHC qualified its very first teams for the NIT at the U19 and U16 levels.

First RFHC NIT

After an amazing first indoor season, RFHC teams competed in the NIT at the U19, U16, U14, and U12 levels. We also sent our first adult teams to the Adult NIT, where we secured the club's first RFHC gold medal!
